What is the value of a coach?
Steph Curry is regarded as the best shooter in NBA history, and possibly one of the greatest point guards to ever play the game. He has won many awards and is an NBA champion several times over. Being the son of a former NBA player, you could say basketball is in his DNA. He knows basketball, and yet he has a coach. I'm not referring to the head coach of his team, who happens to also be one of the greatest to ever play the game, but Steph has a personal shooting coach, Bruce Fraser. Bruce Fraser is a trusted friend to Steph Curry. Bruce's job is to analyze the mechanics of Steph's shot, help Steph see where he can make improvements, and to be honest with his feedback and coaching. Steph Curry has become one of the greatest players of this generation, in large part, becuase of Bruce Fraser: his personal coach.
